Rules

Theme: You play as 2 parents who must survive a treacherous jungle of parenting norms which try to intimidate you and push you apart.

Goal: In this cooperative 2 player game, you win if you manage to end in the same boat (2 niches adjacent to each other). You lose if the norms manage to fill the entire board.

Start:

The two parent tokens are put in the middle of the board, next to each other

A norm token is put on each free space surrounding the parents (norms are sticky so as a rule, they follow the parents wherever they go).

Movement rules:

• Both parents can move horizontally and vertically, as many spaces as they can according to their player rules.
• The red parent can “confront” norms by stepping on a square that contains a norm. They can move horizontally or vertically to any square that contains a norm as long as there is an unbroken path of norms (they can’t jump over empty spaces or the other parent).The space the red parent came from remains free and norms surround the parent in any free space horizontally, vertically, or diagonally where they land.
• The green parent can “avoid” norms by jumping horizontally, vertically or diagonally to any free space that doesn’t contain a norm. The space the green parent came from gains a norm and norms surround the parent in any free space horizontally or vertically where they land (but not diagonally).
• Wherever the parent lands, norms follow and surround the parents
